WHO WE ARE

THE SHORT VERSION
There are no accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or any other identifying detail. If you submit a score you choose three characters to appear on a public leaderboard. Everything else the game remembers is stored in your own browser and never leaves your device.
WHAT IS STORED IN YOUR BROWSER
These are local storage entries on your own device, not cookies, and they are not transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

WHAT IS SENT TO OUR SERVER
Only when you choose to submit a score. Nothing is sent while you play.

| Hashed IP address | Your IP is combined with a secret salt and hashed. We store only the hash, solely to rate-limit submissions. It is never shown to anyone, never shared, and cannot be reversed back to your IP without the salt. |
Leaderboard data is stored with Supabase, which hosts the database on our behalf. See supabase.com/privacy.
PUBLICLY VISIBLE INFORMATION
Your initials and score appear on a public leaderboard. If you hold the top score you may also choose to publish a short boss name and a short message ("taunt"), which every other player will see alongside your initials. Don't put anything in those fields you wouldn't want public.
ADVERTISING
This section applies only if advertising is enabled. If the game shows no ads, none of it is happening — delete this section.
We use third-party advertising partners to keep the game free. Ad providers may set cookies or similar identifiers and may collect data about your device and browsing in order to select and measure ads. We do not receive or store that data ourselves.
- Ads are shown only on the title screen and between runs, never during play.
- Where required, we ask for your consent before any ad code loads, and you can decline.
- You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
CHILDREN
Optiveous is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.
YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we deliberately hold almost nothing — no account, no contact details — the practical route is:
- Local data: clear your browser's storage for this site.
- A leaderboard entry: email us with the initials, score and roughly when you submitted it, and we will delete the row.
We keep leaderboard entries until removed. Hashed IPs exist only for rate limiting and carry no contact information.
CHANGES
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
